Writer's Block: Meant to Be?

No. Belief in fate would require belief in some greater power, or at least some kind of meaning in the universe. It would probably be nice to believe these things, but I don't. The only unescapeable fate is death.
...That sounds incredibly morbid, doesn't it? It wasn't intended to be. :(

ghoulification, of course.
Actually, I don't really have a favorite comm, but if I did it might be
friendlyhostile, just because Friendly Hostility is an awesome webcomic.

Writer's Block: Wild Life
Apr. 29th, 2009 02:32 am[Error: unknown template qotd]
It would very much depend on the type of wilderness. A desert, a tropical, a swamp, someplace snowbound? Not very long at all. Steppes and plains, open places, would also KO me pretty quickly. Temperate climates, forests and mountains, Mediterranean climates... with luck on my side, I'd probably survive a fair while.

Writer's Block: Celebrating Friendships

I want to say
andyyoureastar, because I know her the best of my earliest ljfriends, but
myownimprov,
misato_kou,
vanagontwisty, anyone else I met off of Newsies that I might not remember. I know I've known them the longest, because
mistress_rose gave me my invite, way back when you still needed one.
Of my friends who are still close (I will always adore
andyyoureastar, but we don't talk all that often),
tricksterquinn. A chance meeting in some random comm landed me one of my best friends of the past five years. <3, hon!

Writer's Block: Looking Back

Oh wow. That was a while ago. ...ten, huh? Hey LJ! I was just getting into fandom when you were born! Pretty cool.
So, to find my very very very first elJay post, I had to go to
tricksterquinn's old journal,
khaoskat, because I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was called.
haisley, it turns out.
It appears my first entry was a survey.
Wow. I was irritating and couldn't really spell.

Writer's Block: Gamer's Choice
Apr. 13th, 2009 12:43 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]
This one has two answers for me. We always had a minimum of two computers in the house, but I never had any consoles. I did play a bit at my cousin's house, but not enough to fall in love with any of those games... except for Sonic the Hedgehog. It's lame, but I love it.
While it's not a video game, my favorite old-school computer game is Rogue. I love it so much I have a Rogue app on my iPod. This game, oh my god, this game. The forefather of every computer RPG everywhere, and yet it remains the most awesome after, what, thirty years? Running around as an @ fighting off O(rcs) and Q(uaggas) never gets old.

Writer's Block: Seven Days
Apr. 7th, 2009 01:24 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]
I loathe Mondays, of course, though not because it means going to work. It means going to work at my job, with my coworkers and lead worker, my job that makes me cry on a regular basis. If I were working where I am right this second (covering someone who's out on bereavement), I wouldn't mind Monday a bit.
The day I long for is Saturday. Saturday is the perfect day. I can stay up late Friday night, because there's no work on Saturday, and I can stay up Saturday night, because there's no work on Sunday. Saturday is the truly free day. Sunday is spent feeling worried and unhappy because of Monday.

Writer's Block: Almost Famous

I've been told I resemble Drew Barrymore, but I don't see it at all. There is one actress I DO resemble, however, to the point where friends (whom I hadn't seen for a few years) saw the movie and went "...did Regina go into acting?"
In O Brother, Where Art Thou?, watch the sirens scene. The heavier-set girl, with dark curly hair? That's pretty much exactly what I look like, only she's taller. Body shape, though, face, hair, eyes, everything is almost exact. It's a little creepy.
(She's blonde on her IMDB page, and, oddly enough, doesn't look like me at all there. Weird.)

Writer's Block: Early Birds, Night Owls

I'm definitely a night person. Does my schedule fit? Heh. I can push my wake-up to 7:20 if I don't want breakfast and I have my clothes laid out. I have to leave at 7:30 to make it to work at 8. I've left at 7:44 before, and I was actually only a few minutes late, but it took some interesting driving.
Job or no job, I still stay up to 1 am half the time...
