Well -- I sort of did that, albeit after one year, and with a bizarre situation. I'll let you know how my credit transfer situation turns out.
I have heard, though, that CC can be unpleasant about credit transfer -- it helps if your college is on a semester (rather than trimester or quarter system); it also helps if you have an A.A., and if your classes are at least four credits (arbitrarily, 4 credits --> 1 block. I am REALLY BITTER about this). It also depends a lot on what field you go into -- the geo department is really strict about core geo courses being taken at CC, but I don't think most of the other departments are.
Most colleges won't take full transfer credit, so you may lose a semester to a year where-ever you go.
But I shall do more research. :)
