her eyes were her thoughts and they were far away
what is it with old plots coming back to haunt me?
I saw a terrible miniseries about Attila last night that reminded me of my Mongol/Time Travel story that was originally a Hun/Time Travel story, until I realized that Mongols are teh cool. And that Gengis Khan could take Attila down any day.
It's entirely possible that I'm somewhat too much of a history geek.
Also, what's the thing with categorizing writers? It's not enough that people get a bajillion labels stuck on them every day, you get labeled there too.... I really don't understand. I bring this up because I was asked for help on a story yesterday, which was of no interest to me- D&D style fantasy- because I'm the "fantasy geek." I don't know where they got that, really. I read certain sorts of fantasy, yes, and write it...but I read and write scifi, and historical stuff, and intrigue, and a crapload of nonfiction history books, too. So...I dunno. I had a point originally. I guess I just got annoyed at that. Don't know why, really. It just got to me. Maybe 'cause I'm not really in so much of a fantasy mood lately. Ironic, since I'm trying to write fantasy...

Disney is weird, and I think the writers occasionally stick strange "coincidental" things into their movies just to confuse peoples.
Er. Or not. *rambling*
*slightly cynical about Disney*
I think I have lost the remaining scraps of my sanity. Sorry 'bout that.
Don't worry, you're in good (bad) company. My sanity ditched me looooong ago.

(Xiongnu, iirc, means something rather nasty in Chinese, and so is probably not the best term to use, but 'Hun' is pretty imprecise.)
Um. I found a really good bibliography online several years ago, but I couldn't find most of the books in it. Will look into it lately.

Me, too. Which is why I'm so surprised they apparently found that piece of information.
