of flowers and knives, of grapes and wine, of love and ancient stone

We ignore life in an effort to entertain ourselves. It's a young country, a harsh place of raw concrete jutaxposed with wild nature. The very soul of it is defiance, ignoring ancient tradition in favor of new madness.

- written on my hand after walking out of Under The Tuscan Sun. I had no paper. I need to wash it off before the ink stains my hand.

Tuscan Sun is a beautiful movie. Pawel- that's the actor, I can't spell the character's name- is an absolute angel, from Poland, and just...adorable. It's full of sweet, cute Italian men, and gorgeous landscapes, and centuries-old houses, and flowers, and nuns, and all sorts of things.

It's entirely possible I've been spoiled on American men. I just can't see myself with anyone who lacks an accent. Or a huge family. Or the ability to flirt without actually trying to hit on me.

Mmm.

I think I shall go to Italy.

'tis my own. Popped into my head walking out of the theater. I want to write a story about a girl who gets stuck in Italy. With a cat.

I will go anywhere with you! Europe is especially good though. Soyus. Say the word, and Italy it shall be!

You are soverygood at picking my mood up, my crazy french-speaking girl!
