Sad

I'm looking at meal plans so I can lose weight/get fitter/stop being about an eyelash-width away from diabetes etc., since the boy and I have been talking about maybe trying for kids next year.

Unfortunately, chicken seems to be about the only thing I can stand on these lists.

They want me to eat blueberries. This is unacceptable.

Oh healthy food, why must you be awful.

Can you have ground / minced chicken? Really, chicken is pretty darn good, because it goes with so many different types of spices. Perhaps turkey? I rarely eat any other meat than birds, and I haven't missed the others. *shrug*

Incidentally, what's unacceptable about blueberries? Their very short life in the general scheme of things, like they're rarely available except for a couple of months in the summer? There's always strawberries, raspberries, and lots of other sorts of berries, too!

Actually, chicken is the one thing I can stand out of most recommended healthy noms. I will eaten chicken about as often as someone is willing to cook it for me (I don't unless I'm doing a specific recipe. Chicken and I... we had an incident when it comes to cooking :p)

The problem with blueberries is that they are revolting. Also avocado, Brussels sprouts, raisins unless in something (that one's a texture thing), and I'm not coming within a foot of fish, ew ew no.

I actually do like some healthy stuff. Sweet potatoes, broccoli, fruits, spinach... most leafy greens, in fact. I just get all :( at lists that tell me the healthiest stuff is stuff I won't eat.

I really understand the thought of brussels sprouts being revolting, but avocado?! Guacamole?!

I understand your reaction to those lists, really.
